Unwelcome physical contact includes things like:

  • unwanted massage of shoulder, back or neck
  • repeatedly brushing up against someone
  • interfering with a person’s normal work movement
  • prolonged hugs

You might think you are helping someone by giving him or her a quick neck massage, but someone else might feel harassed by it.

According the the policy of the Diocese of Northern California other conduct includes making or threatening reprisals to an individual who opposes, objects to or complains about sexual harassment; possession of inappropriate material of a sexual nature in the Church or its display, duplication, or transmission.
