Prevention of Child Abuse

“Whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.”  Mark 9:37

We are called to create communities in which children are not only safe from abuse, but are valued and treasured. This training  provides information about

  • the role of the church in protecting children,
  • the prevalence of child abuse,
  • definitions of child abuse,
  • signs and symptoms of abuse,
  • how to report and who to report to,
  • information on mandated reporting, and
  • prevention strategies.
Forms you will need for your file are also included, as well as additional resources. 
There is a quiz at the end of this training. You will receive a Certificate of Training within three days after you complete the quiz.
